Rosewood Canyon at Storyrock

Step inside the well-traveled, empty-nester couple’s time capsule. A place where their collections have a permanent home—where they kick back and reflect on their life well lived… for the winter, at least. Tucked inside a community surrounded by the 30,000-acre McDowell Sonoran Preserve, this expansive home was a clear choice for a pair looking to retreat and rest. Inspired by the mountainous, desert surroundings of the preserve, our goal was to design a contemporary Spanish villa, with textural, calming elements. Throughout the home, natural materials of limestone, marble, and rattan are juxtaposed with bold design elements like black iron, custom tambour moldings, and contemporary lighting. Everything complements the rugged movement of the breathtaking landscape beyond.
